Soon you’ll have to pay a fee to skip commercials
April 24th, 2006
You know, seriously, what is this world coming to? Do companies find that ads are a necessity?
Granted, this stuff will probably never come true…but, man, if it does come true my already scarce TV habits will get even more scarce!
Google Calendar Is Launching Tonight
April 13th, 2006
“It looks like Google Calender could be launching tonight! The official Google Calendar logo was found on Google’s servers and calendar.google.com redirects to the actual CL2 login screen now.”
For those of you who have a google account and want to remain in touch, this is pretty damned neat. Blogging it cause I really like it!
GOVT to PayPal: Give us your users information
April 12th, 2006
“A ruling today allows the government to subpeona PayPal’s records for your banking information. Apparantly, many of PayPal’s users are suspected of having offshore accounts and the government wants to know about them. So much for privacy.”
I can see the fact that people might use paypal for illegal type things…however, it only makes me wonder what’s the next internet type thing where privacy which was once so prevalent is taken over by the government. Seriously.
Graffiti animation (REALLY COOL)
April 9th, 2006
“Ok, Someone had too much free time, lots of spray paint and a digital camera. What they did was paint various frames of a guy walking in random places in a city, then they took photos and made it into an animation! Check it out, its amazing!”
I thought this was pretty darn cool.
Apple Corp. saw iTunes early, didn’t complain – lawyer
April 7th, 2006
FTA: “Apple Corp., was given an opportunity to object to Apple Comp.’s use of the apple logo in association with the iTunes Music Store. But it chose not to, the iPod maker’s advocate claimed yesterday. Apple Corp. received an ITMS demo in January 2003 – four months before the service went live.”
Really, the purpose of lawsuits these days is just to aide in an elevated form of children’s banter
. When will people grow up, seriously? I personally never know when. I also realize that there may be one day that I myself will need a lawyer, but those reasons I assure you will not be meaningless (and hopefully not over money as this article seems to get at).
