World of Warcraft

March 7th, 2006

Now, I have to admit, I was one of those people who said…and I quote myself, “I will never ever play World of Warcraft. It just sucks people in and the game is like the ‘counter-strike epidemic’ (in the gaming world)…”. However, for the past month I’ve been actually succumbing to the want to play the game. I’ve actually installed this game and I’m completely addicted to it now. I just can’t get away from the thing.

Aside from other things. I can’t get to sleep tonight. I had an extended gaming session that locked me to seat for around four hours. My body seems to keep doing things that will keep my mind off what is actually going on — a funeral tomorrow.

Side note, X-files is on and I really want to get the full season on DVD…it probably came down enough in price.

Ahh…Spring break!

March 6th, 2006

So I’m now into the second day of my spring break. So far I’ve been successful at doing nothing except pondering things about the world and programming. All in all pretty resting. Oh yea, I also took a good amount of time to clean up portions of the house (read: I noticed that I had an ever increasing layer of dust underneath my bed).

I’ve also been successful on getting my resume out to a few places today. The three places are located in Chicago. A fun town, but that would mean that I’d have to be away from Renee for a while.

However, a tragic note on my part. My grandfather passed away this morning 5:45AM. Mom had spent the night with him to usher him to the place where he belongs. I feel really sad that he and I didn’t get to know each other better…but I know that he’s a good man and cared for me (as I did him). Funeral services are going to commence this week starting on Wednesday.
